PricedUp

PricedUp Logo

PricedUp is an online bookmaker with a very energetic and dynamic feel to it, not to mention being a big old site with loads to do. It punches well above its weight too, with an app, a great bet builder, a video tips service from a professional bettor and ex-odds trader, not to mention sponsoring tier 2 and 3 football clubs.

It’s a full service site covering all verticals, including casino, live casino, virtuals, and bingo, but sports betting is where PricedUp really excels.

This is a bookie that takes all of the complication out of online betting. They stick to decent prices and odds boosts over endless confusing promotions, they offer the main markets and bet types plus a few fringe ones to keep things interesting, but don’t engage with anything too niche – it’s just a great site for some straightforward betting.

They run on their own license dating all the way back to the 1980s, but use Playbook Engineering as the platform provider, making this something of an old head on very new and capable shoulders.

Betting Markets

PricedUp Betting Markets

Despite only launching in 2024, PricedUp has a packed book covering every major sport you would find at a brand that is decades old. I am talking about football, horse racing, greyhound racing, cricket, tennis, darts, boxing, MMA, all the American sports, F1, golf, rugby, and more.

They have decided not to bother with the niche sports, which is an interesting move in an industry where bookies clamour to be all things to all people. Instead, PricedUp have opted to provide odds for the most popular and slightly fringe sports only. This works in their favour, because it keeps the site clean and easy to navigate, unburdened by endless additional options that only 0.5% of punters are actually interested in.

Very sensible.

It’s a similar story with the betting markets in each event. All of the options you would expect to see are included, as well as a few more specialist bet types, but the really niche stuff is not included. Again, this means the site feels uncluttered and makes it easier to find your bet.

You can still get Asian handicaps, lots of over/under options, method of victory, goal time markets, winning margin etc., as well as the really popular bet types in all sports of course, so there are plenty of options, they just don’t go mad with it. Again, it’s about giving the best experience to the most people, so the handful of punters who want really specialised markets will be disappointed, but the other 99.5% will appreciate the smoother experience.

Using the Website

PricedUp Website

This takes me onto the website in general.

Doing away with unnecessary niche markets helps keep things nice and tidy, but the site itself didn’t need all that much help in the first place – it’s beautifully designed.

There are lots of well thought out little features too. The A-Z sports list allows you to create a favourites list in a single click, for example, and the Next Races slider on the home page has a UK and ROI toggle so international races are filtered out. These little things make a site feel that much more sophisticated. The live Trader Chat option is also very visible and ever present next to the account menu. Another example of PricedUp thinking from the customer’s perspective.

Navigation is instinctive. Your first thought will usually be correct if you are searching for something in particular, and there is a search function too if you would rather do it that way. I like how all of the buttons are very big and obvious too, so you won’t be clicking things by mistake or any of that annoying stuff.

Also, it’s a tiny thing, but having all the GambleAware info at the very top of the page above the main menu is a nice touch, most sites stick it way down at the bottom but PricedUp obviously take their responsibilities to their customers seriously.

Very difficult to find room for improvement on this front.

Live Betting

PricedUp Live Betting

You won’t find any live streaming at PricedUp aside from on the horses and the greyhounds, but there are live betting markets.

This isn’t as extensive a service as you would find at lots of other sites, but you will certainly find availability for every major event and plenty of lesser known ones too. As I write this, I am looking at the live markets for the Thailand U22s vs Vietnam U22s, for example.

The interface is quite fun too. The graphical display is nice and big and leans into the fact that it is digital, so it looks a bit like an old computer game. There is some very basic information about key moments in the game included but no in depth match stats.

A drop down menu makes it easy to jump to other live events, and you can place simple win bets from the overview page without having to open the event at all.

It’s probably best described as a no frills live betting service, but for that sort of category it’s a very good one.

Banking

Method Min Deposit Min Withdrawal Fees Withdrawal Time
Debit Card £1 £1 0% Up to 5 Days
Apple Pay £1 n/a 0% n/a
Bank Wire £1 £2 0% Up to 5 Days

It’s a mixed bag in the banking section, depending on how you look at it. Deposit options are very limited, with only debit cards, Apple Pay, and a bank transfer service called Yaspa available. It won’t bother you unless you are funny about giving out your card details, but I know it will be off-putting for some people.

On the other hand, it’s a very low minimum deposit and withdrawal amount and withdrawals are very fast in my experience. I’m talking about under an hour. They state up to 5 days as a maximum to cover delays in the banking procedure at the bank’s end, but PricedUp process withdrawals in very good time.

They only provide the minimum legal level of fund protection, so don’t leave large amounts in your account unnecessarily, but again, this won’t be an issue for 99% of people.

The maximum payout of £500k per day (not per bet) across the whole site is pretty generous for a bookie this size, and all but the most adventurous of accas is unlikely to reach the ceiling.

Customer Support

Online Customer SupportIt’s common for online bookies to only offer online customer service options these days – it’s less common for them to offer several versions of customer support, though, yet that’s exactly what PricedUp do.

You can contact customer service, compliance, or the trading department via email or live chat, and there is also an FAQ which covers all the usual stuff.

The FAQ isn’t the most user friendly since it is a pop up that you need to scroll through to find your query. There are no categories and no way to search it. That said, it’s not huge and the information contained within is presented clearly and concisely, so it is helpful.

Customer service is for account enquiries and general questions, whereas anything to do with betting markets can go via the Trader Chat. They both lead to the same place in reality, but they call it Trader Chat because you can also request your own bespoke odds on markets you can’t see on the site. There’s no guarantee you will get odds for that bet, but they will price it up if they can. I guess compliance issues would go via the compliance email, but that’s likely more for professional enquiries.

Why Bet Here?

I really like PricedUp. I think for most bettors, it’s the perfect site. That said, there are people at the extreme ends of the scale that should take note.

Anyone working with limited funds will appreciate the £1 minimums when it comes to deposits and withdrawals. This makes betting super accessible to literally anyone with £1 spare, and since you can bet pennies at a time, you can get involved for a bit of fun and even make that £1 last.

On the other hand, those looking for niche sports or wanting more anonymous payment methods will need to look elsewhere.

For the majority of people though, PricedUp offers everything you need and it does it in a way that streamlines the betting process and makes life easier. So if you bet on popular sports and don’t stray too far from the usual bet types, but perhaps find other sites annoying due to having to sift through unwanted markets, PricedUp have solved that problem for you.

Contact and License

It’s very easy to reach the team at PricedUp via one of the following methods:

  • Live Chat – Available on site under the sports list
  • Trader Chat – Available on site next to the account menu
  • Customer Service Email – [email protected]
  • Compliance Email – [email protected]

Their license harks back to the fact the brand is linked to a physical bookmaker from back in the 80s, which is why the license number is so short: UKGC license number 1776.

The registered address is not for customer correspondence, but is listed as: Star House, 255 Old Shoreham Road, HOVE, BN3 7ED, United Kingdom
