Prospect Hall Review
Prospect Hall is a modern casino brand and perfect for anyone looking for a casino only site without the distraction of sports and a ton of other products. The brand, part of the Betable group, provide a range of mainstream software (NetEnt, Playtech, Play N'Go and more) along with a live casino offering.
There are over 250 quality games that will suit all player types. It's a slot lovers casino certainly, although there are still enough table games to cover what most people would want.
A respectable range of banking options, decent limits, and honest clear terms mean customers are in good hands. More of a professional looking casino rather than vibrant and flashy. Reliable regular customer reload deposit exclusives.
- Very Well Balanced Casino – Nice game selection.
- Spot on For Gamers – Casino only with no other clutter.
- Solid Support - No phone line but a great reputation for service.
Software and Games
Prospect Hall have a good balance of 4 different game providers giving the casino a wide appeal, but one or two other familiar faces would be welcome. The casino features popular titles from big developers such as NetEnt and Playtech, while games from smaller providers Ash Gaming and Play'N GO are also on display. The bulk of what's on offer comes from NetEnt and Play'N Go with the other two developers making up the numbers.
There are around 250 games available at the site with the catalogue updating regularly. This gives you enough choice without cluttering the place, but that number has been known to go down as well as up. Those players who like to be swamped by different titles might find it lightweight, but new players especially will appreciate the balance.
This is one of those sites where you can go from signing in to playing a game in quite literally seconds, and although it is aimed at slot players, the number of table games fluctuates in the high 30's and consists of enough roulette and blackjack variations to keep 95% of players happy, as well as some poker and video poker titles. They are all playable as demo's too, which I always think is only fair.
Prospect Hall's Live games are all provided by NetEnt. This means you get a full catalogue of live titles and each game has an easy to use interface, seamless graphics, HD interface, and features such as portrait mode.
The Live Casino is good for a bit of immersion or if you like to chat as you play. You can interact with the dealers themselves who will go to every effort to make you feel welcome, or with other players via the chat box. The interface is also interactive so you can see stats/history etc, as well as other tables in the distance which you can move between with a single click.
There is every variation of roulette and blackjack with several tables depending on your stake requirements, with a total of around 30 live games available.
Who Are Prospect Hall Casino?
The Prospect Hall brand itself was only launched in 2015, however, the London based holding company behind the casino, Betable Limited, has been around since 2008. The current CEO is the man who launched the brand, Mr. Christopher Griffin (no relation to Peter).
Betable Limited began life as a betting and gaming site before changing tack in 2012 and developing its own gaming platform. This allowed Betable to create its own games and interfaces, which it then licensed to various partners. They were particularly renowned as mobile game developers.
In 2015 Betable took all this experience and went back to their roots, launching their own casino, Prospect Hall. Already regarded as one of the best-looking casinos online, Prospect Hall also offers features that are unique. By running their own gaming platform the company could create their great looking site and incredible menu structure without needing third parties to align.
Only four months after opening for business, their mobile app was also launched, and being a mobile first casino developed in the modern age the app was quickly recognised as one of the best available. By focussing only on gaming and not flooding their site with content, Prospect Hall is able to offer quality and functionality in ways that other companies can only marvel at.
The website is very professional in style, with a minimal approach and a blend of aristocracy and astronomical magic that strangely ties together very well. Fast to load and amazingly easy to navigate, this site is a pleasure to use compared to some others. Where graphics are used they are high quality and tasteful, although we ran into one or two issues when categorising games such as the interface showing up blank, but these were infrequent.
Another thing the site has going for it is the lack of menu options, which actually enhances the player's ability to move around it. Everything game related is handled on a separate interface, meaning no real navigation is necessary unless you need support or promotional information.
In some ways, because the casino is so streamlined and focuses solely on gaming, the site can feel a little empty. This isn't a negative observation, though, because the effect is an un-obstructed journey from sign up/log in to playing.
The support section is fantastic and everything is spelled out in clear language with no small print I am a huge fan of this website.
Games can be searched for in several ways including directly via the search bar, A-Z, new, featured, and by game type (slots, blackjack, etc).
Most useful, however, is the ability to list the results alphabetically, by software provider, by minimum stake or by the highest return to player. This is a really nice touch and makes the titles supremely easy to locate and browse. I wish more casinos offered the game search functionality that Prospect Hall do - these are genuinely useful options.
You can also access your recently played games or create a favourites list which is constantly on show but tucked out of the way at the bottom of the screen. This can all be done from the homepage so it really couldn't be quicker to get going.
On The Small Screen
Prospect Hall have some highly acclaimed mobile apps, although if you don't want to lose the space on your phone the mobile site works perfectly too.
Given the simple style of the desktop site it is no trouble to scale it down to any size screen size. It also means that you compromise nothing by playing on the small screen, not even the live casino, so you can run your account solely from your phone if you want to.
Once again you can access everything from the home screen. There is no searching to do or endless scrolling, this is just a well-designed interface that doesn't require too much concentration to use - absolutely what you need when on the move.
The browse button on mobile is a novel invention; it provides the game categories via a spinning wheel rather than using awkward menu's. This is not only quite fun to use, but it also shows that there has clearly been a lot of thought given to how the user experience is delivered.
The design of the site and app coupled with the minimalistic approach also means they are quick to load and don't require as much memory as other similar casinos. Navigation really flies and games load quickly, meaning even if you only have a spare five minutes you can get online and play a few rounds to pass the time.
These days, mobile gaming is more popular than ever, so by ensuring their mobile products are easy to use and structurally sound Prospect Hall have positioned themselves well.
Banking and Payment
As you can hopefully tell, I like Prospect Hall a lot, but banking is an area where they could do with making some improvements, to be honest.
They don't have the widest range of options and there are some terms on payout and withdrawal limits that irk me. None of it is deal breaking stuff, but it makes me screw my face up nonetheless. More detail below:
Wire transfers are available by arrangement.
These methods are all fee free, and there is no maximum deposit limit either, although it is common when making large deposits that you may need to make multiple transactions.
I feel like they have done what is necessary here, but not gone any further than that.
Every deposit method is also available for withdrawal with a £10 lower limit and no stated maximum, although large withdrawals will likely be reviewed first. If you win more than £100k they may also pay you out in installments as low as 10% each month. You must use the same method to withdraw funds as you use to deposit.
Withdrawals take an average 1-3 days once approved, but the issue is they take around 48 hours to approve a transaction, longer if you have added security. The real times are therefore more like 2-5 days.
Prospect Hall have a payout limit policy, it is higher than most people would ever need to worry about but still not a good thing by any means.
There is an annual cap in place on winnings of £1,000,000. If you were lucky enough to win more than this your extra winnings are not lost, but they will be withheld until the following year. This is rolling too, so if you win £3,000,000 it is going to take you 3 years to get hold of it.
I'm not sure how this applies to progressive jackpots and I haven't yet got a clear answer from the company, but it's something to bear in mind.
Promotions and offers for existing customers at Prospect Hall are middle of the road. There are not tens of daily deals to look out for, instead you tend to get one or two good value long term or seasonal offers. This gives you one big prize to work towards rather than lots of little rewards here and there. I prefer this as smaller rewards coming in drips and drabs don't do much for my bankroll, but if it all comes at once it really makes an impact.
Most offers at Prospect Hall are personalised. You will be given exclusive bonuses depending on how you play, as well as free games and cashback offers. The cash back offers in particular go up to much higher amounts than you see with most other casino sites, and when they say 'cash back', they mean real cash rather than promo funds.
Whether you like this model depends on how you like to play. For me I prefer promotions that I don't have to rush into and that reward me based on how I want to play. I therefore like Prospect Hall offers, although they might not be to everyone's tastes.
Red Carpet Treatment
For VIP players there are few programs as good as the one available here. Prospect Hall make a big deal of their VIP scheme, more so than most sites.
They offer a fantastic range of benefits including all the usual stuff you would expect like dedicated mangers, event hospitality, constant bonuses, enhanced cash back offers, and faster banking. The quality here, though, is just that bit higher; more resources are made available for VIP than with other brands meaning Prospect Hall can provide more benefits more often.
You don't just need to be a high roller to get into the VIP club either. Of course, you will be needing to play at least a few hundred every month to get on the radar but there is no set limit. Instead, Prospect Hall look at a wider range of factors when deciding to let you in, including the time you spend playing, your own loyalty to them and how many different types of games you play.
This is a VIP scheme that rewards players on many different levels rather than just those with money to burn, and we love that Prospect Hall recognise their players in this way. You only have to read some of their past recipients comments on the site to see how pleased they were with their experiences.
Help & Support
Customer care is a mixed bag. On one hand the support section of the site is excellent with detailed and clear FAQ's. The help section is so good it does often answer your question before you need to contact support. Even the T's and C's are kept brief and presented in a font you don't need to squint to be able to read.
Conversely, there is no phone support available which isn't really good enough these days. Live chat and email are available 24/7, so if you desperately need to speak to someone you could open live chat and ask for someone to phone you. It's all very easy to access, though, with support links at the top and bottom of the screen.
There is an active social media account but it's not really there for support, although it is active, and comments online tend to be positive and Prospect Hall can be seen to do their best when issues do come up.
