A lot of the time, new bookmaker brands from multi-brand umbrella companies can be a bit of a damp squib. They end up feeling bland and devoid of personality, with nothing to make them attractive or unique.
Bettarget is the opposite.
Yes, they are a brand owned by a larger company (EBet), but a combination of fantastic odds, incredible market depth, and one of the best online betting interfaces in the industry makes the betting experience at Bettarget a real winner.
They only launched in 2021, but they have the air of a solid long-standing bookmaker with traditional values and a no-nonsense approach.
This is a bookie that also accepts a multitude of payment methods, has a live betting product that is innovative and enjoyable to use, and offers support until midnight each day should it ever be needed.
Bettarget are a brand that skilfully cuts through the noise and provides value at every stage of the betting process.
- Competitive odds – Value to be had with typically low margins across the board
- Loads of sports – Bettarget have one of the longest sports lists in the industry, making them great for all punters, especially those who enjoy niche markets
- Superior platform – This is one of my favourite betting interfaces, full of innovative features that improve the experience
Website and Platform Functionality
Bettarget have a handsome platform, laid out full width across the page with a rich navy-blue theme throughout that feels sophisticated and professional.
There is quite a lot to take in on the home page as the site has a lot of content, but the design and layout make a lot of sense and enable the user to work their way through the interface with no bother whatsoever.
Interestingly, since the betslip is hidden away until you want to use it, the right panel of the interface can be used for other things, which in this case are a Next Races box where you can see imminent horse or greyhound aces (you can toggle between them); and a brilliant bet builder unit that lets you toggle between different sports where a bet builder is available, select an event, and then get building.
I haven’t seen anything quite like this before and as a fan of bet builders, I found it to be extremely useful. It’s simple and well thought through, yet also gives you a great quick shot overview of all of the events that are starting soonest.
Another example of this kind of smart design feature, is the way users can filter the events they see from the A-Z sports list itself. Using a slider, you can select events of the day, in the next 24 hours, next 3 days, next week, or all events.
It cuts out so many events that could be irrelevant depending on what you are searching for, and it does it instantly for every single sport. It’s an excellent piece of user focussed design.
The BtoBet platform that Bettarget use isn’t one of the most common for bookmakers in the UK, but it’s one of my favourites. It’s full of understated innovations like this and steers clear of gimmicky useless extras.
Literally the only thing that bothers me about the site is how quickly it logs you out if you go to another tab to do some research or something. That’s pretty annoying, but the good far outweighs the bad at Bettarget.
Sports Markets
If you like a long and diverse sports list at your bookie, Bettarget is for you. They’ve got every sport imaginable here, and probably a few you haven’t imaged too.
The list itself has more than 50 options on it, and ok, a handful of these are the different esports games like Dota and CoD that could be combined into one, but there are an awful lot of niche markets here like alpine skiing, speedway, stock car racing, lacrosse, indy racing – in fact, Bettarget is a great shout if you follow different types of motor sports, they’ve got more types than I have seen anywhere else.
They offer greyhound racing and horse racing too, with some international meetings on the horses, and excellent depth of market in other popular sports. Ice hockey markets are available from around 14 different countries, basketball markets from more than 30 countries, and football from more countries than I am willing to count.
Obviously, football is the biggest market at any bookmaker, and it’s no different here. UK markets are available right down to the 7th tier of English football, as well as womens football and loads of outrights.
You will usually get a couple of tiers deep even in football from far away nations like Turkey and Egypt too, and if there is a footballing country not on the sports list then I didn’t spot it.
This sort of depth continues from event to event too. Understandably, there will be more betting lines available on a Premier League game than a match in Montenegro, but in general, it’s one of the most thorough bookmakers in the industry for betting lines.
There a multi correct score markets that are very unusual, 1×2 after 5 minutes, 20 minutes, etc., and loads of combination markets. There is a lot of interesting stuff here so if you like to really get stuck in and try new markets, Bettarget is a treasure trove of options.
Equally, if your regular bookie is not offering the market you want, or their options seem a bit limited, give Bettarget a go.
Odds and Offers
As well as having incredible market depth, especially on football, Bettarget tend to have pretty incredible odds on football too.
I tested a few different markets as a sample and the overround was around 104% to 105% in all case. This indicates a very low margin comparatively.
This test was conducted on pre-match odds across a few days, so the odds at Bettarget look to be fairly consistent, although you might not far as well in live markets.
That said, you will still be getting better value here than at many other bookies, so if shopping around for the best prices does not fill you with joy, you could outsource that hassle to Bettarget safe in the knowledge that you aren’t being ripped off.
They aren’t the best bookie for offers, although they do exist, mainly to promote combo and multiple bets in my experience, as well as some odds boosts, but since the odds are good anyway, lots of promotions aren’t really necessary.
The bottom line is that you can get solid value here.
Live Betting
First thing to say is that there is no live streaming at Bettarget other than horse and greyhound races, which is fine, some people love it but a lot aren’t all that bothered, so not a huge deal for most punters.
The live betting interface is a redesigned version of the home page. You can toggle between the two at the top of the A-Z, and when you do, you get a lovely interface showing all the current in-play events and their scores plus a few markets to bet on, the option to ‘favourite’ events and a link to stats for each too.
What’s great is that the design makes the information so clear, and you can look at events from a specific sport by selecting that sport from a secondary menu at the top of the interface.
What I really enjoy about the in-play section at Bettarget though, is that even when looking at a specific game or match in event view, you can use the A-Z on the left to see what is happening in every single other live event, and quick jump over to it if you want to.
It’s so well designed to be 100% user focussed that every piece of information is available at exactly the right time, and every option you might want appears exactly when you might need it. Can you tell I am impressed?
There are plenty of game stats to look at in event view, as well as the game graphic which helps to bring the game to life with second-by-second updates on the action, and the market depth typically improves once a game begins too.
Bettarget host more than 3,000 live games every single month, so even if you log on early in the morning or late are night, there should be something going on that might appeal to you.
Making Deposit and Requesting Withdrawals
Method | Min Deposit | Min Withdrawal | Fees | Withdrawal Time |
---|---|---|---|---|
Debit Card | £10 | £10 | 0% | 0-6 Days |
PayPal | £10 | £10 | 0% | 0-2 Days |
Skrill | £10 | £10 | 0% | 0-2 Days |
PaySafeCard | £10 | N/A | - | |
Bank Wire | £10 | £10 | 0% | 2-6 Days |
You won’t struggle for ways to deposit at Bettarget that much is for sure.
In fact, there are more payment methods here than at some far bigger brands, including MuchBetter and Astropay which are not in the table above, so for any punter who likes to use more obscure methods, Bettarget could be a bookie worth considering.
Deposit protection levels meet the requirements for medium protection as set out by the UKGC, which is a good sign, and withdrawal timeframes are standard. I know some of the maximum timeframes in the table look a bit on the long side, but they include the time it takes the payment provider to do their side of things, and it doesn’t usually take anywhere near that long.
The maximum payout is not going to attract anyone who bets high stakes, but that’s alright, the majority of people don’t stand to win £90k from their bets anyway.
It does mean that you need to watch your accas and other multiples if you bet with Bettarget, but it’s not a huge issue.
For clarity here, the most you can win for any single bet in £90,000, but that is also the monthly win cap, so even if you managed to win more than that across multiple bets you would not be paid out more than the £90k.
Mobile Betting App
Almost everyone who bets does so on their mobile at least some of the time these days, so any online bookie worth their salt will have an app, or at the very least a highly optimised mobile betting site.
Bettarget has both, and they are extremely satisfying to use.
It suffers from the same frequent automatic log out issue as the desktop site, but again, other than that I really can’t find fault with it.
Navigation is a breeze with more than one way to move around the site, making it feel open and free and reducing dead ends to zero. It feels fantastic in the hand to, probably designed by someone who is right-handed if you ask me, but lefties won’t find it difficult to use either.
In terms of performance the app scores very highly indeed.
It runs very smooth and responds to commands with immediacy but without rushing, so you don’t end up getting ahead of yourself. Page loads are some of the fastest I have experienced too, and the racing streams looked crisp and sharp.
Those little innovations I talked about when discussing the desktop site extend to the app as well, they might not all be exactly the same due to the necessity to move things around for the smaller screen, but the approach is consistent.
For example, the betslip doesn’t pop up when you make a selection like it so often does with other bookies, instead, the selection is added to your betslip which is accessible from an ever-present footer menu.
This makes it so much easier to make multiple selections before heading to your betslip to work out exactly which bets you want to place on them, rather than being forced to constantly close the damn thing every time you select some odds.
Crucially then, this is a mobile betting app that won’t irritate you, and that allows the user to enjoy all of the benefits of betting with Bettarget with no dramas.
Who Are Bettarget? Company History
Only launched in 2021, Bettarget have a slightly convoluted setup.
This is because the bookie is not a company itself, but a brand owned by another company. The company that owns Bettarget is Karamba Limited, which might ring some bells as Karamba is a popular online casino.
However, Karamba Limited is owned by a larger company called EBet, which also runs several other casino and sports betting brands.
To add to the confusion, while Bettarget are ultimately owned by EBet, they run on the license of Aspire Global, better known these days as AG Communications, making them a white label. To cap it off, Aspire Global are a subsidiary of an even larger company called the NeoGames Group.
Phew! Told you it was convoluted.
To put things plainly, it just means that an umbrella company has set up another company within it in order to run Bettarget and some other brands, and have also employed the services of a 3rd party provider to make certain aspects of running the business easier. EBet are the company at the top of chain.
Bettarget serve as EBet’s flagship sportsbook, powered by the award-winning sportsbook software, BtoBet (BtoBet is owned by NeoGames group).
This gives the brand a lot of control over their book, markets and odds, although as mentioned, they are operating as a white label on the license of AG Communications, who also supply the games for their casino.
Given that the brand has only been around since 2021, there isn’t much history to speak of that is specific to them, but EBet based in Malta and Las Vegas, with around 200 employees working across all 8 brands they operate.
Who is Bettarget Recommended For?
Bettarget are a fantastic choice for anyone who values a large range of sports to bet on, a great market depth within those sports.
There is an awful lot to bet on here, and because the site is so well designed and not flooded with endless promotions and other screen space stealing extras, the markets are incredibly easy to filter and browse.
This leads me on to the website. It’s one of my favourite platforms in the industry, so if the websites of other bookies have niggling issues that annoy you on a daily basis, switching to Bettarget my well solve those problems for you.
Lastly, the odds are very competitive without needing to mess around with promotions to add value, so all in all it’s a no nonsense bookmaker that simply provides an excellent product for bettors to use.
Help and Support
This is a somewhat limited service if you hold it up next to bookmakers who fling open their doors to customer contact, but it’s certainly not difficult to get help when you need it.
The FAQ section is fairly comprehensive, and it is easy to find out how to contact the support team too so there is no discouragement from Bettarget here.
It’s just that your only options are email (via an online contact form) or live chat when it is open. The customer service team work from 8am until midnight, so that gives customers plenty of time to get in touch each day.
I’ve contacted the team once or twice and have always been connected almost instantly, and ok, they aren’t necessarily the very quickest to reply to each message, but i’ve never been left waiting more than a minute or so.
It’s probably fair to say that this is the area where Bettarget could make the most improvements, but it’s certainly not a bad service and the majority of the time, what they have in place will be more than sufficient for the needs of most bettors.
